My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms felt cozy but lacked a bit of the typical hotel vibe, more like a bed and breakfast style. I noticed some cleanliness issues with Cheetos on the floor and broken furniture, yet the location was stunning for relaxing strolls and activities. The service was friendly but could use more preparation, and the dining options were basic and a bit overpriced.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room I stayed in was very good, clean, and well-appointed, but the thin walls were a downside as I could hear noises from neighboring rooms. The service was top-notch, especially thanks to Laurie, the Director of Rooms, who made sure everything was just right. The location was fantastic with lovely outdoor hangout spaces, but applying a $10 credit in certain areas felt a bit unnecessary. The dining experience was incredible, although the high price tag for two people was a drawback.

The hotel felt like a step back in time to New Orleans in the 70s - spacious rooms, not overly furnished, and a unique charm. I enjoyed the comfort and having a bath and a half, but mingling with other guests of varying backgrounds was an interesting experience. The shifting tiles in the bathroom added a touch of unpredictability to the stay.

The hotel offers beautiful rooms, but some may find them small with full-size beds instead of queen beds. Service is friendly but could improve in providing information about the surrounding area. Located in Tarrytown NY overlooking the Hudson, it offers opulent surroundings for strolls and games, though not easily accessible for those with mobility issues. Dining is plentiful in the Biddle mansion, enhancing the experience with Sicilian cunzato bread.

For my birthday lunch, I decided to stay at this hotel after paying almost $400 for the night. The room had a view that was worth the price, but the lack of customer service was a downside.
